What is a BFRB? BFRB stands for Body Focused Repetitive Behavior. It is a term generally used to describe related disorders that include hair pulling, skin picking, and nail-biting, AKA Trichotillomania, Excoriation, and Onychophagia disorders.

10 Week Program to help you with your BFRB. Ages 10 to adult
Intake needs completed for the initial session. An intake goes into more detail about your background and why your are seeking services, symptoms, and treatment plan. Then depending on your diagnosis there may be different scales that may need completed such as: Skin Picking Symptom Assessment scale The Massachusetts General Hospital Hairpulling Scale
Week 1: Setting an intention in session Week 2: Reward System Week 3: Establish A Regular Mindfulness Practice to Gain Awareness, focus, stress reduction, and management of emotions that contribute to the BFRB. Week 4: Awareness: Identifying triggers, thoughts, emotions and physical sensations that lead to the exacerbation of the BFRB through tracking. Week 5: Sensory and Cognitive Tools designed for the person experiencing the BFRB. Week 6: Plan of Affective, motoric and environmental tools designed for those experiencing a BFRB. Week 7: Consistently sit with urges and not act on them for increasingly longer periods of time. Week 8: Self Compassion Training Week 9: Facing Fears Week 10: Recovery and Maintenance
